How to Patch a Leak in an Inflatable Pool or Court

Repairing an inflatable product depends on the type of damage, but the general steps are:

1. Find the leak: inflate fully and listen for air, or apply soapy water to find bubbles.
2. Mark the damaged area and clean it with rubbing alcohol so the patch adheres.
3. Apply repair adhesive and press a PVC patch over the hole.
4. Leave it to cure for the time recommended on the adhesive, then re-inflate and test.

How to Replace a Valve

Replacing a valve keeps your inflatable pool tent or inflatable volleyball court holding pressure properly:

1. Completely fill the air chamber that needs the valve replacement.
2. Using a valve tool, loosen the valve by turning counter-clockwise. Do not remove it fully — keep the boot that holds the valve in place against the tube.
3. Deflate the tube. Press against the material to hold the boot inside the chamber, then unscrew the valve the rest of the way and remove it.
4. Screw the new valve into place to a “hand tight” fit.
5. Re-inflate the tube and use the valve tool to tighten the valve fully.
